Welcome to Western Active Stroke Group

Acclaimed by the Stroke Association as being

Our group was set up in October 2003 as a support group for people affected by stroke, and became a registered charity in 2009.

It was developed by stroke patients who found they had no one to turn to when they were released from hospital and wanted to further their rehabilitation.

The aim of the group is to help people with their physical and social rehabilitation, in a safe and friendly environment, where members can discuss their issues and concerns.

The original group logo was a locked padlock which signified members feelings of being locked out of their previous lifestyle.

Today our group logo is an unlocked padlock to signify that the members new lifestyle can be greatly enhanced through group encouragement and self motivation to unlock their future potential .

We have a varied activity programme which is member led, to enhance the mind, body and spirit.

We meet Tuesday mornings between 10 am and 12 noon  at   The Worlebury Golf Club, Monks Hill,

Worlebury, Weston-Super-Mare, BS22 9SX.  Dependant upon our activity programme.
